Nacho: a curious cat growing in confidence
A growing confidence and a heart that’s beginning to open.
Like his brother Nutmeg, Nacho was rescued from an offshore island, brought into the AVS pound, and then bailed out to the shelter, where he’s been for about three years.
Nacho is a little further along in his journey of trust. In just a couple of weeks, he has already shown growing confidence — lingering near people and beginning to explore human presence with curiosity. He is not yet fully sure about hands-on interaction, but with patience, love, and a safe environment, he’s well on the path to becoming a comfortable and affectionate companion.
Nacho is adaptable and would likely do well in a home of his own. While he and Nutmeg share a history and get along, Nacho doesn’t depend on that bond in the same way, and would be just as happy settling in as a solo cat — or with a new feline friend.
